At Equal Start, our ethos is simple: Children first, always.
We believe that every child, regardless of their background, deserves the opportunity to pursue an education with dignity. Our not-for-profit charity is dedicated to relieving the effects of poverty by providing funding for young people experiencing social disadvantage. We focus on supporting students in Australian State Primary and Secondary Schools who struggle to access even the most basic educational resources.
YOUR IMPACT
Through your generosity, we are able to provide:
School Supplies: Many students don’t have access to essential school items like books, stationery, and uniforms. Your donations help purchase these resources so that children can attend school feeling prepared and confident.
Meals for Students: Hunger is a major barrier to learning. By funding school meal programs, we ensure that students don’t go hungry and can focus on their studies, improving their ability to concentrate and succeed.
Technology Access: In today’s digital world, technology is critical to education. We help provide laptops, tablets, and internet access to students who would otherwise be left behind, especially for those in rural or under-resourced areas.
Transportation Assistance: For some children, simply getting to school is a challenge. We provide transportation assistance so students can attend school regularly without the worry of travel costs.
Extra-Curricular Activities: We believe education goes beyond the classroom. By funding sports, arts, and music programs, we give children opportunities to grow socially and emotionally, building their confidence and broadening their future opportunities.
